{"id":11656,"date":"2015-06-09T18:40:33","date_gmt":"2015-06-09T14:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.armgeo.am\/trchkan-2\/"},"modified":"2023-11-27T16:57:58","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T12:57:58","slug":"trchkan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.armgeo.am\/en\/trchkan\/","title":{"rendered":"Trchkan Waterfall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trchkan Waterfall is situated on the border of Shirak and Lori Regions, on Chichkhan River, which is the left feeder of Pambak River. \u00a0Chichkhan River starts from the north-eastern slopes of Shirak Mountain Range, at the height of 2250 m. The length is 29 km, the catchment basin is 192 km\u00b2. It flows to the east through the mounts of Bazum Mountain Range. It is fed by melted snow and groundwater. It flows at its strongest from March to June. In higher places the banks of the river are lower. In the middle part of the flow Trchkan Waterfall starts, which is also known as Chichkhan Waterfall or Trchkan Jur (Water). The locals also call it Chran (a word describing the sound of flowing water).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The waterfall is located 10 km far from Shirakamut village , Shirak Region.
