Devil\u2019s Bridge is a natural bridge on Vorotan River, in Syunik Region. The length is about 30 m, the width is 50-60 m. It is formed by travertine of mineral springs. There are stalactites and stalagmites under the bridge. Goris-Tatev freeway passes above the bridge.<\/p>\n
There are several accounts for the origin of the Devil’s bridge\u2019s name. Some people say, that the bridge is called so, because many people drowned while swimming under the bridge. The others say, that the bridge is called so, because less water comes out from the bridge than goes in from the other side of the bridge. This happens, because inside of the bridge, in the cave, mineral water is dripping down from the walls.<\/span><\/p>\n It is possible to swim through under the bridge and go out from the other side, but it is allowed only for good swimmers, with the guidance of an experienced guide and during the months when the level of water is low (August, September). <\/span><\/p>\n
