If you are a thrill seeker or you are just trying to conquer your fear of heights, a fun-filled zip-line is one of the best ways to realize yourself. But where did these high-flying adventures originally come from? Why were they first created?
\nFirst of all, let\u2019s define a zip-line. A zip-line consists of a suspended cable with a sliding pulley.\u00a0 Usuallyzip-line is made of a stainless steel cable mounted between two points on an incline. Zip-lines are designed to propel an individual using gravity from point A to point B while holding onto or being attached to a sliding pulley.
\nZip-lines are not a new technology and have been around for many years.<\/p>\n

The concept of zip-lining, which today is primarily an adventure thrill ride, was actually conceived out of necessity.
\nZip-lines\u00a0have been used in remote and mountainous areas, including Europe, China and the Himalayas, since the 1700\u2019s as a method of crossing rivers, gullies or other natural roadblocks to transport people and goods.
\nApproaching more modern times, the people responsible for making the zip-line popular are the adventurous individuals known as wildlife biologists. \u00a0Biologists needed to use zip-lines to study dense forests around the world. They used zip-lines as an approach to get into or above forest canopies.<\/p>\n

Today zip-lining is one of the best adventure tourism activities.\u00a0 Yell Extreme Park offers the first and still the only zip-line in Armenia. It is a new field in Armenian society, so all the adventure seekers hurry to take their flight. Armenian Geographic Project have organized trips to Yell Extreme Park for several time, we have had flights under the sun and rain, through the fog as well.<\/p>\n

By the way, Yell Extreme Park notices, that during the season the biggest amount of zip-line flights were organized for ArmGeo. The continuation of the hiking trip is Lastiver Armenia<\/a>, a beautiful place with wonderful views, river, waterfall, caves and handmade wooden houses. The way passes through the forest so the emotions are on the high level themselves, but of course, they are strengthen by the unforgettable impression of zip-line flight.<\/p>\n
