Aratso River starts from the slopes of<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.armgeo.am\/en\/gndasar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Gndasar Mountains<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, running through the south-eastern part of Urts Mountain Range and flowing into Araks River. The length of the river is 25 km, the depth of the\u00a0 canyon is 100-400 m, and the width is 1,5-80m. The slopes are bare, rocky and steep. There are many karst caves and cavities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a mountain river Aratso (Aratsoget) mostly is fed by melted snow and rainfall, it overflows in April-May. In upper streams, near Hortun village Zangakatun reservoir is located.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hell\u2019s Canyon was discovered by our team at Armenian Geographic.
