On the top of the mountain a crystal-clear crater lake is situated, which is filled with icy water of the mountains all year round. While climbing Azhdahak you can admire the views of Mount Ararat, Hatis, Ara and Aragats. These mountains keep many secrets and mysteries.<\/p>\n<p>Azhdahak is one of the most popular destinations for hiking and trekking in Armenia. Geghama Mountains are also a perfect place for <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.armgeo.am\/en\/mysteries-of-geghama-mountains\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"hr-inner-style\"><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<h3>Climbing Azhdahak<\/h3>\n<p>Early in the morning, on an off-road car we will move to the height of 3000 meters above sea level and from here, on foot, we will start our hike to the top of the <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.armgeo.am\/en\/azhdahak-geghama-mountains\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mount Azhdahak<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>In Armenian mythology, Azhdahak is a man-dragon (Vishap), whose name is Azhidahaka. Azhi means snake, dragon, who fights against the god of thunder Freydun.
