Paytapar Mountains<\/span><\/h3>\n

Length: 16.5 km<\/span><\/p>\n

Highest summit: Shunkar (2,079 m)<\/span><\/p>\n

Coordinates: 40\u00b045’49.80, 45\u00b0 5’30.66<\/span><\/p>\n

The Paytapar Mountain Range is located in Tavush Province and forms the northern branch of the Miapor Mountains. The Range begins at the peak of Mount Shunkar and moves north-eastwards towards the confluence of the Aghstev and Urtjur rivers. The western and eastern slopes of the range are forested.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mount Shunkar is located 4.5 km to the north of Aghavnavank village in Tavush Province (at the intersection of the Miapor and Paitapar mountain ranges). The summit consists of a very distinct cliff.<\/span><\/p>\n
