The height of the mountain is 2605 meters. The name of mountain is connected with the name of an Armenian king Ara the Beautiful, who according to legend was killed on the slopes of the mountain and is buried on its top.<\/span><\/p>\n<div Ara the Beautiful rejected the Assyrian crown, rejected the love of Semiramis and was soon killed in a battle near this mountain.
