The mountain is quite isolated from its surroundings and is bordered by enormous cliffs. Amutegh is situated 5 kilometers east of the left bank of the river Hakar. On the peak of the mountain, there is a small church whose origins date back to about the 17th and 18th centuries. Upon discovery, no inscriptions were found anywhere in this church, so not much is known about it.
