Since 2003, December 11th has been celebrated… This is a day which is especially important for all of the mountaineers, mountain lovers and for those involved in mountain tourism. A meeting with the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs was organized on December 11th, in order to make the day more memorable and significant. The achievements of 2018 and the partnerships and goals of 2019 were discussed during the meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister also highlighted the importance and strategic significance of mountaineering and sport tourism for Armenia. Minister Ghazarian has awarded certificates to several representatives of mountain tourism and the climbing industry, as an acknowledgement of the work done. ArmGeo didn\u2019t stay apart from this: The Armenian Geographical Project\u2019s founder-head Tigran Shahbazyan was awarded a certificate for effective activities in the field of mountain tourism, development and implementation of the project \u201cOur\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
