Off-season hiking is a best way to see the trail in a whole new light and likely with a lot less people.<\/p>\n<p>Smbataberd is an impregnable fortress of the 5th century, surrounded on three sides by steep slopes, which go down into the gorge, where the rivers Artabuyn and Yeghegis flow.<\/p>\n<p>From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Teksar, which is breathtaking in
