We are 5 years old which means 350 hikes in Armenia end outside its borders, thousands of participants and discoveries.<\/span><\/p>\n The head of the project Tigran Varag introduced the prehistory of the origin of the project and concluded the past 5 years. Also were presented he most beautiful and interesting hikes of the year which are – Mount Sipan, Aragats and Kusanats M\u0585untains.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Conclusion of the year: we are 5 years old<\/p><\/div>\n On the 18th of August 2017 we have\u00a0 ascended the Mount Sipan (4058). The ascent was rather difficult and was one of the longest due to its relative altitude – 1600 meters. The hike from the slopes to the top of the mountain lasted 9 hours. The successful ascent\u00a0 was a great achievement for our group as in Western Armenia there is always a chance that the whole journey can fail. On this occasion all the participants got certificates and souvenirs. <\/span><\/p>\n The participants of the ascent of Mount Sipan<\/p><\/div>\n During our event we have highlighted\u00a0 our winter ascent of Mount Aragats which was realized\u00a0 by the members of our hiking club. The ascent lasted 10 hours during which the participants have overcome the relative altitude of 2000 meters and reached the Northern peak of Mount Aragats. On that occasion all the participants were presented certificates from \u201cArmenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism Federation\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n The team of Aragats<\/p><\/div>\n Our event wasn\u2019t only about our achievements. We had special guests and one of them was Samvel Karapetyan, who spoke about the monuments found in the territory of Mets Hayq, which had an important impact on Armenian culture. Our next guest was Anushavan Barseghyan who spoke about the characteristics of landscapes (mountain, hill, mountain chain, massif, etc ). They also were presented certificates for having an influence on the development of the hiking culture in Armenia.<\/span><\/p>\n\n This year was full of discoveries for our project, but the most important discovery for our project took place on the 17th of September, when our team decided to reach the highest peak of Artsakh Mountain range – Mount Kusanats.
