At 14th of May 2016, a group of nature lovers initiated a “Sevan Cleanup” event. The garbage removing process was held at the shore of Lake Sevan<\/a>,<\/span> in 25 mapped territories that weren’t rented for any business. The participants of the event were ecologists, hiking clubs, educational centers and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.<\/p>\n

Artanish Peninsula<\/h3>\n

ArmGeo have chosen the territory of Artanish peninsula, as very often we go hiking to Artanish<\/a><\/span> and we were familiar with that territory pretty well.<\/p>\n

\"Sevan<\/a>

Sevan Cleanup<\/p><\/div>\n

Sevan cleanup isn’t a process that should be done only once. It should have a continuing beneficial impact. Firstly this kind of events give ecological knowledge to all the participants who are the potential users of the territory. Secondly it will prevent the environment from further pollution. And finally it would give an opportunity to take part in ecological activities and, why not, observe the environmental problems of lake Sevan.<\/p>\n

We are thankful to all the volunteers and the ones who took part in Sevan cleanup.<\/p>\n\n
