Tatev Khachatryan who got marriage proposal on the top of Mount Spitakasar<\/a><\/span> will never forget that day of her life. During that hiking trip organized by Armenian Geographic<\/a><\/span> the proposal surprised not only Tatev but also the rest of the hiking group.<\/p>\n

First hiking experience<\/h3>\n

Tatev told us that it was her first serious hiking experience: \u201cI have been in mountains before. I even remember that I was 3.5 years old when my parents took me to hike Mount Karmir. During my school and college years I took part in different hiking trips but hiking to Mount Spitakasar was my first serious hiking experience. Even before going there we didn\u2019t imagine it to be a difficult mountain to climb. At the beginning it was a little bit difficult, but then we got used to it. We both like hiking, extremes and traveling. We decided to take part in this hiking trip when we saw the video of hiking to Azhdahak<\/a><\/span> with a group of 90 people\u201d.<\/p>\n

For Tatev they had a great time during the hiking trip as the people from the group were nice and funny. \u201cWe all became friends with each other, and even though it rained, but we were so happy and it was so fun. Our mountain guides were also very attentive\u201d.<\/p>\n

Marriage proposal on the mountain<\/h3>\n

Talking about her boyfriend\u2019s surprise Tatev said that she didn\u2019t expected that something like that will happen. \u201cWe had planned to get engaged in this summer, but we didn’t plan how it should be. We wanted to do it in Tatev Monastery, but we couldn’t. So, my boyfriend said he will do something about that but didn’t say anything else. It was a real shock for me. We reached to the top of the mountain and decided to eat something all together and then to take a picture. We lined up for taking a photo and my boyfriend knelt down and opened the box of the ring. It was a surprise not only for me but also for other members of the group\u201d.<\/p>\n

Marriage proposal<\/p><\/div>\n

Tatev is very happy that she got her proposal in mountains. This kind of engagement is closer to her than the traditional ones. \u201cFor me it was very mysterious to get proposal in extreme conditions. After overcoming 3555 m ascent getting marriage proposal can be unforgettable\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tatev and her boyfriend will keep on doing hiking as they liked this experience a lot. \u201cThe difficulty was at the beginning, when we just started walking as our organisms were not used to it. But after 10-20m we got used to the rhythm. We both are very excited and we have already ordered hiking clothing to continue to take part in hiking trips. The next mountain that we want to climb is Azhdahak<\/a><\/span>\u201d.<\/p>\n
