This mountain range has relatively asymmetrical structure. Eastern slopes are separated by a number of small rivers. And the watershed mountains give the rocks the appearance of a ridge. Many rivers originate from these slopes: Sipan, Aygiget, Voghji, Geghi, Tsiranajur, Kartchan, Ayrijur and so on. The Kajaran range separates the Voghji and Geghi rivers from each other. The slopes here are windy; they are influenced by the Caspian Sea. Most of the forests are located at an average altitude. Slightly higher, the denudation process increases, as a result of which the slopes are devoid of vegetation and covered with scree. The western slopes of the mountain range are characterized by dry climate. In the lower parts, there is a semi-desert vegetation, a little higher \u2013 steppe vegetation.
