{"id":69397,"date":"2022-04-13T16:17:50","date_gmt":"2022-04-13T12:17:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.armgeo.am\/?p=69397"},"modified":"2025-07-09T17:46:41","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T13:46:41","slug":"northern-aragats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.armgeo.am\/en\/northern-aragats\/","title":{"rendered":"Climbing the Northern summit of Mount Aragats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Northern summit of Mount Aragats (4090 m) is the highest point of Armenia and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the fourth highest one of the Armenian Highland. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an extinct four-peaked volcano located <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">between Ararat and Shirak valleys<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and surrounded by Kasagh river on the east and Akhurian river on the west. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will pick you up from your hotel and move to Lake Kari, which is located on the southern slopes of Mount Aragats, at an altitude of 3200 meters above sea level. Please note that the route is difficult and the hiking tour is not intended for beginners. Hiking experience is important if you want to reach the top.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also it is important to have warm clothes with you, as even during summer months it can be pretty chilly at such altitude.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the summit we will go down to Lake Kari and return to Yerevan.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Tour
