\u201cThe Mountainous Island\u201d is <\/span>a unique bilingual book<\/span>, containing accurate information about the <\/span>Armenian Highland<\/span><\/a><\/span> and the <\/span>mountains of Armenia<\/span><\/a><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tigran Varag<\/span><\/a><\/span>, the author, points out that \u201cThe Mountainous Island\u201d is not <\/span>the type of<\/span> book that should be read from cover to cover and then <\/span>put<\/span> away, but rather one that should be opened, inspected and <\/span>consulted<\/span> on a regular basis.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All of the mountains described in the book were climbed by the <\/span>ArmGeo<\/span><\/a> <\/span>team<\/span> over 10 years. The book also contains information and images concerning such mountains that were only found in archives.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The Mountainous Island”<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n

The book \u201cThe Mountainous Island\u201d is printed on <\/span>high quality-paper<\/span>, with a <\/span>tangible<\/span> topographic image of Ararat <\/span>on the cover<\/span>. The book is 300 pages long and bilingual (Armenian and English).<\/span><\/p>\n

\n1.6 kg in weight<\/span><\/p>\n

The book contains exact information on all of the mountains <\/span>climbed by the <\/span>ArmGeo<\/span> team<\/span> including the coordinates and locations, as well as images and maps. All of the photos in the book were taken during <\/span>the <\/span>ArmGeo<\/span> expeditions<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The book is divided into two sections:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Armenian Highland<\/strong><\/em>
    \n<\/span>The first section depicts Armenia on ancient global maps, as well as general characteristics of the Armenian Highlands, historical geography, and many studies.
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Republic of Armenia and Artsakh<\/strong><\/em>
    \n<\/span>This section provides information on all of the Armenian mountain ranges and high peaks conquered <\/span>within<\/span> the <\/span>\u201c    Ours<\/a><\/span>\u201d<\/span> project.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
