Mount Aragats is the highest point above sea level in Armenia: it has four peaks the highest of which is the northern one at 4,090 metres. Few people know that in the glacial cirques and moraine ridges of Aragats, dozens of beautiful lakes have formed, but they are accessible only to hikers.<\/p>\n

In recent times, Lakes Rapi, Mtnalij and Astghkan have been especially popular among tourists.
