Lake of Water lilies<\/span>, also known as Urasar Lake, is located in <\/span>Lori region<\/span><\/a><\/span> 1.2 km northeast of the village of Urasar. It is famous for its magical, relaxing atmosphere, which is created thanks to the water lilies that abundantly decorate the water surface.<\/span><\/p>\n

These beautiful plants grow in stagnant and slow-flowing lakes in Lori region. Previously, there were more of them, but, unfortunately, several lakes dried up as a result of the Spitak earthquake.<\/span><\/p>\n

Water lilies with white flowers are very rare, and therefore they are included in the <\/span>Red Data Book<\/span> of the Republic of Armenia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite its short lifespan, the water lily is one of the most beautiful plants of the Armenian Highlands. Water lilies bloom in summer between July and August.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
