Hike to Mount Mets Parakhadem

From the summit of Mets Parakhadem, there is an impressive view of Mount Ararat. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the view of Ararat. This is one of the reasons why the route has become one of the most popular in Armenia.

We’ll start the hike near Tigranashen. Passing along the slopes of the Urts Mountains, we’ll ascend the rocky peak of Mets Parakhadem.

Mount Mets Parakhadem

Mount Mets Parakhadem is one of the highest peaks of the Urts mountain range. Its height is 1955 meters. The Urts mountain range is located between the Shagap and Aratso rivers, a tributary of the Vedi, in the south of Ararat province. The landscape is semi-desert in the foothills and mountain-steppe in the highlands.
