The Arjut Tamqots Mountains

Highest summit: Mount Nzhuyg (2,470 m)

Coordinates: 40°46’19.78, 44°17’45.64

Located in Lori Province, the Arjut Tamqots Mountains form a northern branch of the Pambak Mountain Range, starting at the Spitak Pass and extending northeast to the Pambak River valley. The Arjut Mountains serve as a watershed between the Lernajur River and its Paitajur tributary and the Spitak River.

Mount Nzhuyg

Situated in Lori Province in the Pambak Mountain Range 3 km to the southeast of Lernantsk village, Mount Nzhuyg is the highest peak in the Arjut Mountains. The mountain stands between the Spitak and Paitajur rivers and its slopes are covered with alpine and sub-alpine vegetation.
