Paddle boarding in Aparan reservoir

Paddle Boarding on Aparan Reservoir

For paddle boarding on Aparan reservoir we will be heading to the west of Armenia – Aragatsotn province, where the highest mountain of Armenia is located.

The Aparan reservoir was built on the Kasagh river between 1962 and 1967.

The high mountain peaks surrounding the reservoir are reflected on its clear waters and while paddling there it feels like you’re floating in the mountains.

Our guide will meet you in Yerevan and together you will travel to Aparan reservoir to start your paddle boarding experience.
On the left bank of the Aparan reservoir the St Peter and Paul church is situated, which was built in the first half of the 5th century. After the construction of the reservoir starting from 1967 this church is being swallowed by the water and remains underwater for 3-4 months every year. So we will visit the monastery anyway, whether on foot or on SUP depending on the water level. This is gonna be a very unique experience.

SUP tour lasts approximately half a day and takes place in the morning. On weekends, it is possible to organize an afternoon tour. To fully enjoy this activity, beginners will need about 2.5-3 hours. If you are an experienced SUP surfer, you can inform us about it in advance, and we will organize a tour that meets your requirements and wishes.

Do not hesitate, just contact us and we will organize the best paddle boarding experience for you here in Armenia.

WARNING: The place of the paddle boarding can be changed due to weather conditions and strong waves.
