Mount Gndasar

Gndasar mountains are located in Ararat, Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor provinces. The mountain range stretches from Vardenyats Pass of Vardenis mountains till Zovashen Pass. The length of the range is 28 km.

Gndasar Mountain

At the central part of Gndasar mountains Gndasar summit is located (2878m). From the southern slope of Gndasar the left stream of river Aratso starts, which is called Saladzor, from the south-eastern slope starts the left stream of the river Mijin Argich, which is called Western Argich and from the western slope starts the left stream of river Vedi – Qarkapan. The slopes of Mount Gndasar are covered with mountainous meadow-steppe soils.
