Damavand trekking tour / 6 days

The ArmGeo team offers you to complete an ascent to Mount Damavand, the highest volcano in Asia. During the Volcanic Seven Summits project we are going to climb the highest volcanoes of all continents.

Date of hike:
July 5 – July 10 2024

Day 1. Yerevan – Tehran

We are leaving Armenia early in the morning. The trip from Yerevan to Tehran takes about 22 hours. We are going on a comfortable bus, so you may have a rest during the trip․

Day 2: Tehran

In the morning, we will arrive in Tehran and proceed to our hotel to check-in and rest. In the evening, we can explore and enjoy the city of Tehran.

Day 3. Pulur – 4200 camp

In the morning, we’ll go to the foothills of Damavand. From here, we’ll drive to 3200 m on off-road vehicles and begin the hike to the camp, which is located at an altitude of 4200 meters.

All heavy stuff will be carried on horses.

Day 4. Acclimatization day

In the afternoon, we’ll go up about 400 meters and return to the camp again, so that the body adapts to the altitude.

Day 5. On the top of Mount Damavand

At night we’ll start the ascent to the top of the Mount Damavand. We’ll climb around 1400 meters and after reachng the summit return to the camp at 4200 meters.

After resting and having dinner in the camp for about an hour, we’ll descend to 3200 meters. From there, we’ll go down to the foothills in off-road vehicles and head for Tehran.

Day 6. Tehran – Yerevan

We’ll leave for Yerevan and be there the next day in the morning. 

 

The price per person is 650 $

Armenian citizens don’t need a visa.
