Damavand trekking tour 2023 / 5 days

In 01-07 July 2023, Armenian Geographic will climb Mount Damavand, the highest volcano in Asia, as part of the “7 volcanoes” project. We are going to climb the highest volcanoes in all corners of the world.

Day 1. Yerevan – Tehran – Pulur

Early in the morning, we’ll leave Yerevan for Iran. The trip from Yerevan to Tehran will take around 22 hours. We’ll travel on a comfortable bus, so you can rest on the road․

Day 2. Pulur – 4200 camp

In the morning, we’ll be in Tehran and go to the foothills of Damavand. From here, we’ll drive to 3200 m in off-road vehicles and begin to climb to the first camp, which is located at an altitude of 4200 meters.

All heavy stuff will be carried on horseback.

Day 3. Acclimatization day

In the afternoon, we’ll go up about 400 meters and return to the camp again, so that the body adapts to the altitude.

Day 4. On the top of Mount Damavand

At night we’ll start climbing up Mount Damavand. We’ll climb around 1400 meters and return to the camp at 4200 meters altitude.

After resting and having dinner in the camp for about an hour, we’ll descend to 3200 meters. From there, we’ll go down to the foothills in off-road vehicles and head for Tehran.

Day 5. Tehran – Yerevan

We’ll leave for Yerevan and be there the next day in the morning.

For 5–10 participants – 790 $
For 10–15 participants – 590 $
