Ijevan mountains are located in Tavush region and are considered to be the south-eastern branch of Gugarats mountains. Ijevan mountains start from Bazeakar peak of Gugarats mountains and stretches to north-east till the meeting point of Aghstev and Sarnadjur rivers. The length of the mountain range is 32 km. It is a divider between rivers Sarnadjur and Deghinaghbyur. The north-eastern and south-eastern slopes of the mountains are covered with forests.
The highest point of Ijevan mountains is mount Sartsapat with the height of 2532m.
