One-Day Tour to Aragats

The one-day tour to Aragats will give you an opportunity to enjoy beautiful landscapes. The first stop will be at the Alphabet Park, where you can have photos with monuments of the Armenian letters. Then we will visit Amberd Fortress, which dates from the 7^th century and boasts a picturesque location. We will finish our tour programme at Lake Kari, which is situated at 3,250 metres above sea level on Aragats, the highest mountain in Armenia.

Alphabet Park

This unique monument was built in 2005 to commemorate the 1600th anniversary of the creation of the Armenian alphabet by Mesrop Mashtots.

It is an open-air monument at the foot of Mount Aragats: here you can have a walk in the open air, also taking a memorable shot next to the first letter of your name.

Amberd Fortress

Amberd is a stunning specimen of medieval Armenian architecture. The Armenian masters who were able to use the natural conditions of the area for fortification chose a rarely beautiful and inaccessible site for the construction of the fortress. It is built on a high cape surrounded by deep rocky gorges which make it practically inaccessible for enemies.

An important part of the fortress is a church erected in 1026 by Prince Vahram Pahlavuni. You will reveal a lot of interesting details relating to the construction and use of the fortress, at the same time also feeling a medieval atmosphere and getting unforgettable impressions.

Lake Kari

Next, enjoying fascinating landscapes, we will drive to Lake Kari, from which we can enjoy the unsurpassed beauty of the peaks of Mount Aragats. Kari Lake

A walk along the beautiful shore of the lake will give you a feeling of complete freedom and will bring peace to your mind and soul.
